Capital Daily reaches milestone with 50K daily readers

Today, Capital Daily announced a new milestone, surpassing 50,000 subscribers.

Since its first newsletter two years ago, Capital Daily has been Victoria, BC’s go-to source for in-depth, investigative reporting and storytelling about the community. Today, one out of seven people living in Greater Victoria opens the Capital Daily every day. In the last year, the publication has grown 300%, created 11 new jobs, brought on multiple contributing reporters, raised $150,000 for charity, and shared hundreds of local stories told by their team of award-winning journalists.

The editorial team has delivered award-winning investigations, most recently on Timothy Durkin and his crime on the city’s beloved Sooke Harbour House, reported on pressing issues that affect the Island, and celebrated the best of our communities.

In honour of reaching this mark, Capital Daily is holding a contest for their readers that will allow them to enjoy a night out while staying close to home.
